Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulation 10 CFR Part 810, which governs the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
As a Mechanical Engineering Lead for Procurements, you will support the Mechanical Engineering Group Supervisor in leading other Mechanical Engineers in procurement activities to support the project. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills and proven problem-solving capabilities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated past performance leading Mechanical procurement activities working with engineering disciplines, other functions, and interfacing with vendors and subcontractors. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), can be the “face” of Bechtel, promoting our leadership, quality, and safety values, to external partners including vendors, construction companies, and other subcontractors.
