How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Human Resources Manager role is responsible for human resources support for an assigned client group at Delta Air Lines, Inc. The HR Manager acts as a strategic business partner for clients throughout the United States. The role is responsible for ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of human resources services including coaching/counseling employees and management, sourcing and selection, performance management programs, organizational effectiveness, compensation and providing human resources leadership. This position will support the Airport Customer Service Division and will be based in Los Angeles at LAX Airport. **Responsibilities:** + Manages complex employeerelations cases through partnership with business leaders providingconsultation and guidance to ensure outcomesconsistent with company policies and procedures. Partnerswith leaders on employee experience initiatives, change management strategiesand conflict resolution + Provides guidance and consultanton talent management including succession and talent planning, leadershipdevelopment and workforce planning + Creating and partnering toimplement solutions to employee and/or business concerns + Acting as an employee andcompany advocate while leveragingcritical thinking to make sound business decisions + Develops relationshipswith employees and business leaders to communicate companypolicies/programs/procedures while providing leadership around organizationalchange, process consultation and organizational development. + The HR Manager role iscentral in imparting HR expertise to leadership and influencing clients basedon company policy, focusing on positive employee relations and applicable laws. + Serves as projectlead/representative for divisional and corporate projects, managing timelines,and working with cross-divisional teams and develops both strategic andtactical plans that create a safety conscious environment resulting in employeesafety and well-being. + This job may require up to 40% travel What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + 5-10 years of HR ManagerExperience supporting a business unit (or equivalent years of experience) isrequired. + Ideal candidate will havea general knowledge of all and more specific HR technical competence in atleast three of the following HR disciplines: compensation, benefits,employment, employee/labor relations, training/development, EEO, andorganizational development. + Must have the ability totravel up to 40% of the time with some overnight travel included. + Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills, strong analytical skills, strong management presence,adaptability and be able to work successfully across business unit lines and atall levels. + Effective presentationskills and successful problem solver + Ability to work wellindependently with minimal supervision + Ability to thinkstrategically, lead and influence decision making, and be able to build andmaintain effective relationships. + Successfully balancemultiple priorities, work under pressure with complex issues within establishedtime constraints and meet deadlines and objectives. + Develops both strategicand tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting inemployee safety and well-being. + If internal candidate, mustbe performing satisfactorily in present position + Consistently prioritizessafety and security of self, others, and personal data. + Embraces diverse people,thinking, and styles. + Possesses a high schooldiploma, GED, or high school equivalency. + Is at least 18 years ofage and has authorization to work in the United States. + Qualified applications with an arrest or conviction record(s) will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act. + Based on the position you are considered for, this may include a review for the following but not limited to criminal, employment, residential and motor vehicle record history, license or credential verification, drug testing, reference checks, or medical examinations and SIDA eligibility as defined in accordance with 49 CFR 1544.229.
