Job Description

Position Summary

This role supports the Human Resources department by maintaining employee records, organizing documentation, and assisting with reporting tasks. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within the HR field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager on confidential personnel matters and special assignments.
  • Act as the primary contact for applicant and new hire inquiries.
  • Organize and maintain employee records, including scanning and filing documents.
  • Manage the training calendar and ensure schedules are up to date.
  • Prepare onboarding materials such as applications, handbooks, and timecards.
  • Assist in coordinating orientation sessions and employee training programs.
  • Assemble and review Department of Transportation (DOT) files for commercial drivers.
  • Enter new hire information into internal systems and databases.
  • Conduct periodic audits of personnel files to ensure compliance and completeness.
  • Draft and update job descriptions based on role responsibilities.

Additional Duties

  • Provide general administrative support to leadership as needed.
  • Contribute to team initiatives and help achieve departmental objectives.
  • Demonstrate leadership through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Deliver excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory duties.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel may be required (up to 10%) for off-site training sessions.
