We are a new Restaurant location that will be opening soon once construction is complete. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for you to join an amazing Team as we open Sioux City’s newest Chick-fil-A!

As the Director of Operations, you will serve as a senior leader in our restaurant, responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all day parts and departments. Positioned above the Team Leader level, this role is central to maintaining high standards in food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest experience. You will be a key driver in building and leading high-performing teams while working closely with the Operator and other Directors to shape the strategic direction of the business.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house, drive-thru, and mobile/delivery channels
• Champion and reinforce operational systems that deliver speed, accuracy, and excellence across all areas of the business
• Set clear expectations and hold Team Leaders accountable to performance, food safety, and service standards
• Take ownership of the full employee lifecycle — recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, development, performance management, and, when necessary, offboarding
• Coach and develop Team Leaders and Team Members through consistent feedback, training, and leadership modeling
• Collaborate with the HR Director and Operator on strategic planning, organizational health, and growth initiatives
• Drive key metrics including labor efficiency, throughput, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and order accuracy
• Respond to operational challenges in real time with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
• Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A corporate standards, local health codes, and safety regulations
• Embody and promote a culture of high character, humility, ownership, and service
• All leaders, regardless of level, are expected to lead daily operations, owning shifts and guiding teams to deliver exceptional experiences in real time

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role (restaurant or retail preferred)
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams with grit, positivity, and emotional intelligence
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams with a focus on excellence, accountability, and care
• Strong working knowledge of food safety, labor management, and inventory systems
• Confident and effective communicator with strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret data and use it to drive decisions
• Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in the day-to-day operation
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to be on your feet for extended periods and lift/carry 5–30 lbs as needed
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and potential holidays
• Demonstrates high character, integrity, and a strong sense of personal responsibility
