Program Description:

Starwood Capital’s Internship Program is 9-weeks long and we select a group of highly motivated summer interns with the goal of identifying talent for our Full-time Analyst Program. Our size and structure provides individuals with a high level of responsibility and the unique opportunity to work directly with senior management, joint venture partners, investment bankers, brokers and commercial lenders in all real estate classes. Summer Interns will participate in a variety of specialized trainings that will refine their skills and assist them in transitioning into the professional working environment of Starwood and the investment industry as a whole. A mentorship driven program allows our Summer Interns to create lasting relationships that will support the continued growth of a successful career.

Responsibilities:

Starwood is seeking an intern with knowledge of technology and real estate to join our Proptech business. In this role, you will focus on making strategic investments in Proptech companies with innovative products that can create value and enhance operational efficiency across the Starwood platform. The intern will have the opportunity to help build Starwood’s growing Proptech initiative and have access across the Firm’s business lines.

•  Assisting in managing the structuring, pricing and negotiations of investment transactions and present investment recommendations
•  Preparing financial models and internal investment committee materials
•  Assist with monitoring portfolio company investments and provide strategic support to their management teams
•  Evaluating Proptech companies that have strong synergies with Starwood’s portfolio
•  Enhancing current business relationships and develop new relationships within the Proptech ecosystem

Qualification:

•  Passionate about real estate and technology, and the potential applications of Proptech to position real estate assets and operations for the future
• Experience in an analytically rigorous role in venture capital, private equity, investment banking or consulting
•  Superior analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail;
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to manage and effectively present information
•  Collaborative nature with a team-first approach
•  Intellectually curious, creative, and a self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
•  Strong judgment and decision-making skills

To be considered for the 2026 Summer Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

•  Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
•  Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
